Looks like Oracle has unlocked the Hyperion serial number spell. Oracle has first taken away the license server component of the Hyperion Suite. They have also put the entire Hyperion Suite on their web site for download. Simply go to:

History of Hyperion

Since another icon of BI has been acquired (like the great Arbor Software who developed Essbase), I thought we should preserve some of the history here… and for those who wanted to know what’s rapidly becoming part of Oracle…(isn’t every valley company?)

  • Daniel: Ravi, yes there're a couple of properties needed for Essbase. If you are using v11 DRM, you should have the templates available already. Just check it
  • Daniel: Hi Tonia, use 9.3.1 add-in and it'll work fine unless you absolutely need version 11 features. In that case, we maybe able to help offline. Regards,
  • Daniel: There isn't any documentation as such from version 8. The DRM database structure is very different, you will have to rebuild it. Shouldn't be too hard
