Kalyan, yes DRM can manage any hierarchy beyond Oracle because it does not have pre-build interfaces. It exports to database or text format that can work with programmed interfaces or SOAP API. And yes yoga re dead on about ODI. This is one of the best way to get DRM to interface with most downstream systems. Without ODI, you will likely need other ways such as PL/SQL, or Java programming to transform the metadata to the target system.

Hi Daniel,

I am looking for some info on DRM.Can you please help.

1. Can DRM manage the hierarchies of non-Oracle products. (For example, does it have an ability to interface with and manage the internal hierarchies of Guidewire( A claims system))?

2. does DRM interact with ODI to achieve that type of integration.

Appreciate your response..

Daniel, I posted a bunch of screen shots of the 11.1.2 release of DRM on my blog. I'm going to try to cover the new features over the next few weeks and months.

The biggest ones are an entirely new web-based user interface, as well as full unicode support.

If there are any topics you are most interested in, please comment on my blog and I will try to address them if possible.

Here is the Solution.

There is a small bug in the DRM software version 11.1.1.2 with SYSTEM PREFERENCE "ChangedOnProperty". In the "Value" Drop-down list, all it shows is properties that you have set-up as Boolean. Don't be fooled by the drop-down list like I was. All you have to do is to manually type the String property, ChangedOnDate, (that is not visible in the drop-down) in the "Value" field. This value will be accepted without any issues.

Additionally, in order to enable track changes, you have to implement all 5 system preferences
- NodeChangedProperty
- AddedByProperty
- AddedOnProperty
- ChangedByProperty
- ChangedOnProperty
What you can do is, hide the properties that you dont want displayed.
