Troubleshooting DRM (IIS)

Posted by: Daniel In: Oracle Data Relationship Management

If you have DRM installed, one of the first thing you’d do is turn it on inside the console. You could be doing this for the main DRM engine, or you could be doing it for the web publishing engine. Either way, if the engine isn’t starting or the web publishing engine comes back with a blank page, then you should probably check out the “Web Server” tab of the console.

Look under the Virtual Directory section and the MDM Gateway section. If the web server is working well with the right path, then you should see the Virtual Directory section like below. If the application server is working well with the MDM program (e.g. mdm_web or mdm_migration), then the MDM Gateway should look like below. If in any of the two section that it looks like an Internet Explorer error page then you know there’s a problem.

If you’re using IIS, then go and check out the server settings using Start | Administration Tools | Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
